Saigon to Kuala Lumpur

It's like traveling to the future. (Except right at the start when I thought the plane may have landed somewhere other than KL because I could not recognize the arrival hall. It turns out Air Asia comes in to a different older, dirtier terminal.)

But back to the future. Kuala Lumpur is very clean and colorful. Its architecture is amazing, especially around the KLCC area. But something else was more noticeable: there's way more advertising here than in Saigon. Sliding billboards in the underpass; television screens on walls; PA announcements spill into each other: every empty space is used as a medium. It turns out KL may have just as much pollution as Saigon, only of a different kind.
