I was a little worried coming into this restaurant, I had never been before, and on the many occasions walking past it it always looked a little daunting. There were, however, very few complains that I could offer for our experience at this restaurant, the food was excellent, the views were great and the wait staff polite and reasonably attentive.

We were seated right next to the window, looking out over the harbour with scenes of the harbour bridge and of the opera house itself. For anyone wondering where this restaurant is, it is in the very small opera house building, often walked past when admiring the beauty of the building itself. I was able to secure one of the window tables because I booked two months in advance.

The main issue is that since you are facing the window, admiring the vista, it is hard to actually turn around and engage the waiters and waitresses, especially with such thick carpet and unweildy chairs, very minor complaint I know. The other thing was that we did not get the wine we ordered, I asked for a half bottle of cabernet merlot and got a pinot noir. Ying commented in Barcelona that she disliked the pinot noir we ordered there, so we were not keen on trying it again. But, we thought we would give it a go, and were pleasantly surprised. Ying and I enjoyed it and will have a pinot noir again, and it was half the price of the wine I originally ordered.

Now for the food.. since we had such a big lunch I thought it might be a good idea to have a lighter dinner. I ordered a blue crab entree which consisted of cold shredded crab served with seafood sauce and light greens. For a main I had ink spaghetti, this was cooked with more blue crab and a tomato sauce.

It was an excellent light dinner, but was still very filling. It was an excellent night all up.
