So this is what it says on the top of the Miloping front page:
Friends agreed with friends, in order to express friendliness. Enemies disagreed with enemies…
Now maybe it's just me, but disagreeing with friends is not a bad thing. Having an argument sounds really bad, but is actually a really constructive thing to do, as long as you do it properly. Having a discussion means (hopefully) figuring out what is right, and stops someone, especially a friend, being wrong. Which can be really important.
I remember having an argument with Toby (you remember him from the wedding) about whether we should be using travel concession cards now that we're full-time employed. He was going to use the concession on weekends, but not when actively going to work. I thought that was pretty dumb, if you're going to use the concession on weekends, you may as well use it all the time. I argued as such, and actually won (that's how I remember it anyway).
Of course, he told me he's still using the concession anyway, so maybe it was all a waste of time. And if you're wondering, I don't use the concession cause my card doesn't have the sticker, cause the admin people stuffed up and didn't put the stickers on any postgrad cards (cause we all have 0 credit points), so you had to go in and get it fixed yourself.
This teaches us three things:
1) There's no point in arguing, cause nobody changes their mind about anything ever. Wait, was that my original point?
2) I'm very lazy.
3) I can't be bothered coming up with a third point.

I think both the top of the front page and what David said is right and not only because I'm trying to re-inforce my friendship with all parties on milo ping … well, maybe a little.
